About the Artist

Jane E. Adam

Born in England, Jane developed a love for painting and modelling at a very early age, spending her childhood rambling the beautiful Devon countryside searching for wildlife then coming home to sketch or model them in plasticine.

A keen Bird and Dog lover she spends a great deal of time at Dog and Bird shows. Starting in the early seventies until this present day she has been successfully breeding and exhibiting Budgerigars.

Living as she does in Taihape, New Zealand and having lived for several years in Rural NSW, Australia, she finds her inspiration from nature and the creatures around her.

Self taught with no formal training she has exhibited her Art successfully at many shows, including The Wildlife Art Society of Australia, Canberra Royal, Orana Clayworker exhibition Mudgee and is five times winner of the Ceramic Sculpture section of the Royal NSW Canine Annual Art Exhibition.

In 2004 she was commissioned by the Budgerigar Society of NSW Show Committee to make Budgerigar Sculptures for The Nationals being held at Coffs Harbour NSW.

Her work is in great demand both here and overseas with her Sculptures being sold in New Zealand, Australia, England, Scotland, Japan, USA, Canada and Germany.
